Harbingr ("we", "us") is a subscription tracking app operated by Toyan. This policy explains what information we collect and how we handle it.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, password (hashed), display name, currency preference, and timezone. When you use the app we store the subscriptions you add — service names, amounts, billing cycles, renewal dates, notes, and reminder preferences.
How we use it
Your data powers the core product: showing your subscription dashboard, calculating monthly spend, sending renewal reminders by push notification and email, and syncing across devices when you sign in.
What we share
We do not sell your personal data. We use third-party services to operate the app — including hosting (Render), email delivery for OTP and reminders, and exchange-rate lookups for currency conversion. These providers process data only to deliver the service.
Data retention
Your account and subscription data remain until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. One-time verification codes expire after ten minutes.
Your choices
You can update your profile and preferences in Settings, turn off push or email reminders, and sign out at any time. You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete account. To request a copy of your data, email us.
Security
Passwords are hashed before storage. API requests use HTTPS. Access to authenticated routes requires a signed token that expires after a period of inactivity.
